Checkmate Leader
A leader arm that carries its own weight, lets the operator feel the follower’s limits and grip, and returns home by itself. Every joint is a SmartServo G node, the same unit sold on its own.

More good episodes per operator-hour.
Weightless
Active gravity compensation at every joint. Operators guide the arm instead of holding it up.
Felt limits
Haptic walls at the follower’s joint limits, and trigger force feedback from the follower’s gripper.
No drift
Absolute encoders hold calibration through every power cycle. No re-zeroing at the start of a shift.
Hands stay on
REC and DISCARD on the handle; the arm returns home between episodes on its own.
Nothing inside is special.
The arm is built only from finished Checkmate nodes and a hub. No springs, counterweights or one-off parts. Links, base and handle are the only Leader-specific hardware.
- A spare part is one node on a shelf
- A repair is a node swap, measured in minutes
- Each node ships with its own test card
- Kinematics matched to your follower arm
